Ginger Barthel, RN, MA, FACHE
Ginger is a Registered Nurse and a Fellow in the College of Health Care Executives. She holds a bachelors degree in business from Elmhurst College and a Masters degree in business from Webster University.  She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Ginger has over 30 years of progressive leadership experience as a clinician, middle manager and hospital executive leader. As Vice President of Clinical Operations in a 600+ bed teaching hospital in the Midwest, Ginger led the organization’s successful pursuit of Magnet designation by building a culture of employee engagement, retention and clinical excellence.  Ginger has extensive experience in EMR (electronic medical record) and CPOE (computer practioner order entry) design and implementation, strategic planning, leadership development, physician relations, service line development, and resource management. 

Additionally, Ginger has provided executive leadership for the design and development of a patient bed tower, designed for LEED certification (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) at the gold level. She has also served on boards for community organizations and has volunteered at a shelter for homeless women.

Drew Brock, Ph.D.
Drew Brock has consulted extensively in the areas of staffing/workload analysis, employee relations, management development and survey design, analysis, and feedback.  He also serves on human resource-related projects in healthcare and higher education in the fields of statistical analysis/research methodology, benchmarking application and implementation, compensation administration, and organizational classification systems. 

Drew regularly presents research, discussions, and seminars on a variety of issues involving human resource management, employee relations issues, and statistical/methodological procedures.  Drew holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana State University. 

Drew serves as an instructor in psychology and statistics for undergraduate courses and professional development seminars, and is a former director for organizational development, employment and employee relations at a large healthcare facility in the Southeast.  Drew also shares his professional expertise by serving on boards and committees in the industrial psychology field and in his community

Bill Geraghty, MA
Bill Geraghty has more than 25 years of human resource leadership experience in all human resource functional areas.  His experience includes leadership roles at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System, Dartmouth College and Princeton University. Bill holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Education from Fairfield University and a second master's degree in Industrial Relations from Rutgers University.

Bill has consulted in areas of individual and team leadership development, work group assessments, and positive employee relations.  He is a certified facilitator for Myers Briggs Type Indicator Step 1 and Step 2, and has been active on various non profit Boards and has assisted with leadership development and coordination of goal setting for Board members and Executive Directors

Mark Kendall, MA
Mark Kendall has over twenty-five years experience in hospital administration, leadership development and organizational development consulting and human resources.  He has served as a hospital executive progressing from manager to Vice President – Operations at a regional tertiary hospital.  Along with successfully leading and managing clinical operations, Mark had extensive experience in leadership development, community relations, customer service and diversity and ethics activities and programs.  Mark has also served as Vice President – Human Resources in an industrial setting.

Mark has been involved in leadership and organizational development consulting in healthcare, education and for-profit business settings since 1981.  Certified by the Center for Creative Leadership, Mark has personally trained, mentored and coached many successful leaders in healthcare and other industries.  He has presented seminars on a variety of leadership topics, has led formal training programs and has facilitated the development of leadership development initiatives and programs.  Mark holds an MA from Michigan State University.

Ruth Kingdon, BSN
Ruth is a Wharton Fellow of the University of Pennsylvania’s Nurse Executive Program.  Her credentials include a BSN from Northwestern University, an MSN from Loyola University of Chicago, as well as leadership sessions provided by the University of Southern California. 

Following a variety of clinical positions, Ruth taught in a diploma and an ADN nursing program, then went into administration, holding several mid-level positions.  Ruth has served in executive capacity as CNE in both a unionized and a non-unionized system, and also served as COO for two years. As a consultant she has held interim CNE positions in two successful turnaround situations.  Her experience has had considerable emphasis on quality/risk, performance improvement, and effectively engaging people of all disciplines and levels.

She has published written work on leadership and clinical topics, including publication of handbooks on both medication administration and pain management, having the latter translated into several languages.

Tad A. Morley, FACHE
Tad Morley is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, whose professional background includes twenty four years of hospital leadership experience as a Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Human Resources Director.  He holds an undergraduate degree in Organizational Communications from Brigham Young University and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota. 

Tad’s extensive and broad background in healthcare administration and consulting includes strategic planning, executive leadership development (trustees, physicians and hospital leaders), business and service development, resource and cost management, patient flow reingineering, construction planning, transition management, managed care contracting, and physician, employee, patient and community relations.

Since joining the Baird/Borling Team Mr. Morley has provided consulting services to clients throughout the United States in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations as well as academic medical centers.  His practical application of technical expertise brings a valuable and trustworthy resource to clients in varied circumstances and with a wide variety of needs.

Jeff Borling, MA
As a Marketing and Communication consultant for Baird/Borling Associates, Jeff Borling manages all aspects of the Company's website development and marketing initiatives. With a B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin and an M.A. in English Literature and Linguistics from the University of Minnesota, Borling is an experienced copywriter, editor, graphic designer and research specialist, with a portfolio of work in an array of challenging industries.

Borling currently resides in Duluth, MN where he works as a freelance writer and serves as Director of Research & Communication for the Area Partnership for Economic Expansion (APEX).  A graduate of the Blandin Community Leadership Program, Borling serves on the board of directors for SOAR Career Solutions and is chair of the public relations committee for the Iron Range Economic Alliance. In his free time, he helps with fundraising campaigns and is active with the YMCA Mentorship Duluth program the Twin Ports Inventors & Entrepreneurs Club.
